Muirhouse Farm Cottages

Situated in the beautiful Scottish Borders, Muirhouse Farm has two holiday cottages available to let at any time of the year.

Clachan Cottage and The Mill House are self catering properties set amongst the dramatic Scottish Border hills, while enjoying all the benefits of a secluded position, a short five minute, 1/2 mile, walk down a private drive will take you in the picturesque village of Stow.

 Clachan Cottage is a three bedroom property tucked away out of sight looking out over a small burn, hills and fields as far as the eye can see. It is extremely quiet and peaceful and there are even chickens and ducks to feed, if you wish to indulge them!

The Mill House is four bedroom house, in what was originally the threshing mill for the farm. Luxuriously fitted it is a relaxing place to spend a night or more.

Stow is a small village with a post office/general store and a great new coffee shop/cafe/art gallery. It is only 25 miles from Edinburgh and a bus can be taken every hour straight in to the city centre from here. Galashiels, Melrose, Lauder and Selkirk and other picturesque Border towns are all within 5-15 miles. All containing stylish restaurants and highly regarded pubs.

There are many local attractions from castles and places of historic interest, to good beaches, which are just over an hour away. This is the ultimate location for ramblers, mountain bikers, or those who wish to take some relaxing walks with excellent views! You can walk straight from Muirhouse to numerous trails both long and short. There is an excellent mountain biking park 17 miles away at Glentress, one of the best in the UK. The river Tweed is also only 12 miles away for those who wish to enjoy salmon fly fishing and children will love the amazing outdoor play area at Harestanes, which also has local craft shops and best of all entry is free.
